I never thought i would be ever seriously be contemplating selling my pocket rocket, but due to obscenely low speed limits in this country it is getting far too easy to get myself in trouble, thus the car is not getting used often and is taking up space. therefore for sale my artic white unblemished 850 r , looks and drives like new, new tyres, only 230k with full volvo service history, all belts changed etc etc, i have had her 2 years and only put 1500ks on her, sensible offers required please on 0410865405. i would prefer it if she went to a fellow volvo lover.

Hey mickboy, that's a shame to be selling such a nice 'beasty'.
Your'e right about speed limits though; when compared to the size of this country, and the distances travelled, our non-metro speed limits are woefully low.

Hey Mickyboy, I'm just a bit confused, is this the same car you raved about in another post and said how you love getting in every morning and blowing hsv's away and stuff? 1500kms in 2 yrs doesn't sound like a lot of mornings. I've had my '96 850 for only one year now and have done 22000kms city driving - now that's a love affair!!! Or maybe I got the wrong guy. Anyway sounds like a nice car, good luck.

hey svenska!, no i was on about my wifes t5 estate in that post!, we are a two volvo family! the white 850r is not used very often as i live within a minutes walk of work. however the old t5 estate gets a regular runout for school, etc, and yes it still beats hsv`s, and you cannot beat the look on their faces when they see the vacant baby seats!

after driving an s60 turbo, i decided to sell my other jag, and now we are are a three volvo family, its a fantastic car, with heaps of practicality, and lots of get up and go, still i prefer the five cylinder engine.

as a distraction from the distraction that is work, i got really bored and started to think about the ongoing problem of what to do with my 850r , i love the s60 and my wifes estate t5, so i thought poor claudia is not getting much use; them my work friend danny suggested we join the wa sporting car club and do a few time trials etc, as you only have to pay for your racing licence , and you only need two fire exstinguishers and a first aid kit. thus we formed team hyena ( because danny looks like a hyena). too my suprise there are no volvos registered with the club, after getting the owners at work to fork out for fees in exchange for some craigie tavern stickers we are going racing!. i think that in the under three litre class for front wheel drive we may suprise a few people.dannny normally drives a honda civic, but is already a new volvo fan.
